It's Begginning to Look a Lot Like Christmas

Well, it's getting pretty close to that special time of year. We are putting up decorations. I have to admit they are rocking this year. I mean they look good!!! Well my personal favorite part of puting up decorations is setting up the nativity scene. It's my job every year. I'd have to say Christmas tree decorations comes in second. We did get an awesome tree this year and that made it about ten times more fun! Third is setting up lights on the house. It's fun but I can't really do anything I just sit on the steps with my coccoa and watch my dad do it, but it's still fun to watch. Especially when it gets dark out the first night. You can stand outside and look at them untill you get too cold and run back inside. Well, have a merry Christmas!!!!!

My New Hampster, Murphy

Everyone, say hello to my new baby, Murphie. Well he's not really just my baby. He's mine and my friend Rylee's. What is going on is Murphy was her's to begin with, but then her dad got a job in Germany for four years. They are leaving in mid-January. I know, crazy isn't it. I'm not going to go into details, but it's absolutely devostating for me and a lot of other people. I mean Rylee was my BFF ever since I moved here in the 4th grade. I'm REALLY going to miss her. :(

Well anyway, let's get off of the depressing stuff and talk about the happy stuff. So Rylee needed a home because they couldn't take him with. That's when I come in. Rylee didn't want Murph to go to any person. So she asked a person that she trusted to take care of her baby. She asked me, of course, lol. Well, Murphy is just hanging out in my room right now in his cage. I think he's really happy. I'm sure he misses his mommy though. Well, Rylee pretty much lives here half the time, so she gets to see him a lot. She always plays with him when she comes over, too. He's a very energetic little fella! :)

Turkey Day!

Thanksgiving was really fun for me. We had a huge dinner, bet you never guessed that was coming, lol, then on Saturday me, my dad, and Jamie, my step-mom went to a tiny town about three hours from here in Ennis called Cooke City (which I was kind of bumed about because I usually go to Miles City to see my mom and sister and two brothers for Thanksgiving, but at the same time it was fun to go on a vacation). We took Scooby, my dog and she LOVED it! She has been acting really lazy and bored lately so we figured that would do the trick to make her feel better and it did. She was acting like a puppy again, esspecially on our walks and hikes threw the REALLY deep snow, even though every now and then her entire body would just dissapear and fall because it was so deep, lol.

Me standing next to an old miners cabin:

But we didn't go on the trip just for Scooby of course. We decided that we needed to do something exciting. I mean, we haven't been on a vacation since a year ago! Well, I suppose it was only a semi-vacation because Cooke City isn't that far from Ennis and we only stayed there for one night. But we stayed at this great hotel. Everyone there was so nice, you felt like you knew them your entire life and they loved Scoob. They let her run around the lobby and play with one of the workers dogs (a six month beagle--cute)! And there was this great fireplace. After a walk, me and Scoob would cuddle up by it (when she wasn't having fun with her new friend, lol). But yes, before we knew it the trip was over :(.

Bighorn sheep we saw driving home:

Scooby snoozing in the car on the way home:Kinda sad, I know, but it was kinda good to be home. You know, just the feeling of being home after a trip. Scooby was happy to see her usual neiborhood dog friends; Molly, Veto, etc.

Great Thanksgiving, huh?

My Dog, Scooby-Doo:

I love Scooby ("Scoob" for short). She's actually a girl dog. Everyone always assumes she is a boy. She is nine years old. She likes to lay on our bare lawn on warm and basque in the sun on warm days. On cold days she runs inside as fast as she can when we open up the door. She never stays inside for more than a couple hours though. If she does, she gets bored and ancy. She's a good dog. She does have cancer though. We have to take her to the vet ever six months to check her and see if it is spreading. I have that she isn't going to leave us soon though.

She acts like a little kid. Whenever I come home home from school, I usually give her a treat. When I forget, she reminds me by ignoring me when I try to pet her. When we take her to DQ, she gets exited when she sees the building because we always get her a baby vanilla ice cream cone. She's a cutie. I love her with all of my heart.

The Low Down on my Life :)

I was born in Miles City, Montana. My dad is a professional golf pro and was the golf pro for the Rocky Mountian Golf Assotiation in Miles City. My mom is a nurse and a CEO at a nursing home in Miles City. I have three half siblings. We have the same mom, but I have a different dad. My sister, Shelby, is four years older than me. My brother, Gage, is seven years older than me, and my other brother, Ryan, is eight years older than me. We were all one big happy family until I was nine and my mom and dad split up. After that, my dad got a job beeing the golf pro for Madison Meadows in Ennis. Me and my dad moved to Ennis (Ennis and Miles City are about five hours apart if you drive). I still go to Miles City once a month to visit family and friends, usually it's just for a weekend because I have school though. After we first moved here, all that was available at the time in our price range was a two bedroom tiny apartment because real estate prices here are crazy. Space was limited, but we managed. After a month or so my dad's girlfriendat the time , Jamie, came up to live with us. We all knew we could not handle this lack of space. My dad bought a lot and hired some people and started to build a dream house. He started the build at the begining of fifth grade for me, and finished in the beginning of sixth grade (I'm in seventh grade right now). We had lots of space and then we could focus on other things. When we were living in the apartment my dad had purposed to Jamie, and she said yes. The wedding was during fall that year. Jamie is my new step-mom. We are now adding the finishing touches onto our house; the wrap-around deck and the second garage my dad "has to have,". I swear we are never going to finish this house :). I live next door to my best-friend. I like where I live. I'm close enough to school to walk to football and basketball games with my friends, but far enough to ask my dad to drop me off in the morning. I can't wait until we finish this house. Hopefully soon!!!

Here are some pictures of what the house looks like right now:
